All is set for another day of action and hard-fought battles on Wednesday, as South Africa’s top primary school players square off in the quest for titles at the SASHOC U-13 Nationals in Stellenbosch.
After Tuesday’s penultimate day of competition in the girls’ A-section, Western Province were three points clear at the top of the table, having won five of their six matches in the round robin tournament.
Eastern Province were in second place, level on points with KZN Coastal but holding a narrow advantage on goal difference.
In the boys’ A-section, KZN Coastal had raked in 16 points after three days of competition, also winning five of their six matches as they climbed to the top of the standings.
Eastern Province were just one point behind in second place, with Western Province lying two points further back in third.
KZN Coastal will face Southern Gauteng in their last round robin match on Wednesday, while Eastern Province will play KZN Inland and Western Province are up against Amathole in the other key fixtures to be played at Maties.
